Monday 8 – Sunday 14 April is Dietitians week

How an Accredited Practising Dietitian can help:

Accredited Practising Dietitians (APDs) are university qualified nutrition experts. They are trained to provide dietary advice and guidance for anyone who wants to be healthier and anyone living with diet-related conditions like diabetes and heart disease.

When you go to see an APD, they will work with you to make sure their advice and guidance is individualised and tailored to your health needs and personal preferences. A dietitian will work together with you to develop the best strategy to help make sure you stay well, or to treat or manage any diet-related illnesses that you might be living with, including mental illnesses.

To see your local APD through NIHRACS you need to see a GP first to discuss a referral to the Dietitian.
