As you may be aware, NIHRACS underwent accreditation assessment against the National Standards for Safety and Quality in Health Care Services on the 3rd and 4th of July.
We were advised that it would be recommended to the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care that NIHRACS be accredited, noting that the process also identified some areas for further improvement and that the final decision on accreditation is that of the Commissioner. This is a positive result supporting the safe high-quality care delivered by NIRHACS. Whilst we are awaiting a formal report and outcome, we will go forward with activities to continually improve the service. Further updates will be provided as available.
