What does Accreditation mean for NIHRACS and the community
NIHRACS Accreditation against the National Safety and Quality in Health Service Standards provides confidence to the community that NIHRACS is meeting standards met in public and private hospitals across Australia.
The standards cover a range of topics including clinical governance, partnering with consumers, preventing and controlling infections, medicines safety, communication and the delivery of emergency, comprehensive and aged care services.
The efforts to attain accreditation by NIHRACS, supported by the Department of Infrastructure, Regional Development, Transport, Communication and the Arts, and Metro North Hospital and Health Service demonstrates our commitment to providing quality care and continually improving across all of these areas now and into the future.
