As the community has been advised, NIHRACS identified a cybersecurity incident on the 7 October 2026, involving two email accounts. Investigations indicate the accounts were compromised through a phishing attack and have since been secured. We have secured our systems, engaged independent cybersecurity experts, reported the incident to relevant authorities, and notified affected email account holders.
Our investigation is ongoing, and as we validate the specific information accessed in the two email accounts, we are contacting individuals directly where personal information may have been affected.
